We are happy for your interest in our school. At times, the enrollment process may seem confusing. To help clarify this process simply follow these steps to enroll your child.
- Call the school office for an appointment for your child to be tested. It is preferred that the registration fee is paid prior to the day of testing. If the registration fee is not paid, an additional $20 testing fee is charged. In some cases, if an achievement test (not a proficiency test) has been given within the last six months at another school, those scores can be accepted for admission. This does not apply to kindergarten. Our kindergarten test is a "readiness skills test" and must be administered by our SCS staff. New student testing is always scheduled for one date in June and another date in August. These dates are announced in the spring of each year.
- Click here to complete the necessary forms and return them to the office with your registration fee as soon as possible. This fee reserves your child's spot in class until the first tuition payment in June. Include a copy of your child's birth certificate and his/her immunization records.
- Test results and/or previous records will be checked to see how we may best serve the interest of your child.
- Make arrangements to order the school uniform. At least one complete uniform for formal dress is required. Alternate selections are available for daily use that will meet our dress code requirements.
- Be sure to review the immunization requirements in your Handbook Section 600.5. If necessary, make arrangements with your physician or the Summit County Board of Health to meet the requirements.
- If the parents of the student are divorced, it is state law that a copy of the court custodial papers be on file in the school office.

Summit Christian School is pleased to be able to provide extended care for the children of parents who need such a program.
Before school care hours - 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Fee: $2.75 - single child (flat rate)
$3.25 - family (flat rate)
After school care hours - 3:10 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Fee: $4.25 - single child (flat rate)
$6.75 - family (flat rate)

Busing
Summit Christian School has been approved for public school busing to and from school. Please check with your local school district to find out the time and place of pickups. Some districts may elect not to bus students and must, therefore, reimburse parents for the cost of transportation. Procedures for securing the reimbursement may vary from district to district. For help in this matter, call your local school bus garage. Note: Pre-Kindergarten students are not eligible for busing. | | | |
