Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade girls' and boys' basketball teams for a job well done this year! Tournaments did not go the boys' way this year, but they were a joy to watch and certainly gave us an exciting season. The girls' team once again finished runner-up in the regional championship game played last weekend in Mansfield. The game was close and our girls fought hard! Thank you Coach Jones and Coach Eleo for all of your hard work and dedication to our school and our students! Thank you students for the hours of fun you have given to all of us!

Each year our 7th and 8th grade students sell flowers to help raise money for their weeklong fieldtrip. Attached to this FYI is an order form for Easter flowers. Most of the Easter flowers are either hardy shrubs or bulbs that can be planted in your garden and will bloom year after year. Orders are due back to the office by Tuesday, March 2. Please send a check or cash with your order. Flowers will be delivered to SCS on Tuesday, March 23. If you would like to designate a 7th or 8th grade student to receive credit, please mark their name on the appropriate line of the order form. If not, the credit will go to the field trip general fund.

Please remember our Community Open House scheduled for Monday, March 1. We are particularly hopeful that new families will take the time to visit that evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. However, our present families are welcome to stop by as well. You may want to meet the teacher that your child will have next year or you may want to bring another family and start earning a tuition credit toward your own school bill.

Our SCS candy/candle sale began last week and runs through March 1. We are selling Main Street Cookies (pre-cut frozen dough) in conjunction with Root candles as well as boxes of candy. We need you to send in a permission slip in order to send home a box of candy for your child to sell (this was previously sent home last week). The office will keep track of your profit percentage for those of you who are still raising your $100 fundraising requirement.
