Registration Fee
Per student:
     $125 per student or
$75 per student for returning students before March 1

The registration fee must be paid in order to hold a place in the classroom until June 1 when the first tuition payment is due. Payment of tuition is essential for continuation of enrollment. A student whose tuition is not paid by June 8 will no longer be guaranteed a spot in his/her class, and a student from the waiting list will be notified of the opening.
All registration fees are non-refundable; the only exception to this policy is if SCS cannot place a student in a class because of academic testing.

Any deviation from the given payment schedule must be through written request and approved by the school board AND is subject to a $10/month service fee.

Please note that all activity fees (field trips and class fees) are now included in our tuition.  However, this does not include the expenses associated with overnight field trips.  Special fundraisers are held to help reduce the cost for students and their families.

 Referral Credit
Over the years, we have come to realize that 75% to 90% of the new students who enroll at SCS do so because of the recommendation of our current families.  Satisfied parents are our best advertising.  Therefore, the SCS board is offering a $480 tuition credit for parents who will help us enroll new students. The following guidelines apply in order to receive credit:

  1. The initial contact with the school should come from the parent of one of our currently enrolled students. Our parent should provide the office staff with the name(s), address, phone, and ages of potential students. Our office will mail a special enrollment packet to the potential student's family.
  2. If possible, a parent of our currently enrolled student should accompany the potential family at the time they tour the school.
  3. The family to receive the tuition credit must have their name written in on the line designated on the blue enrollment form.
  4. $480 credit will be given for each student enrolled, but a limit of two credits ($960) per new family. That is, if a new family of four children enrolls, only $960 credit will be given for bringing in a new family. However, other families may be enrolled for additional credit.
  5. Credit will be given at the rate of $40 per month for each $480 credit earned. If the new family withdraws from SCS, the credit payment will end during the month of the withdrawal.

  Testing Policy
All students must be tested before entering SCS.  The only exception to this rule is a student who has taken a standardized achievement test (not proficiency test) within the last six months.  Test results from a former school are accepted if they are current.  It is preferred that the registration fee is paid prior to the day of testing.  If the registration fee is not paid, a $20 testing fee is charged.  New student testing is always scheduled for one date in June and another date in August.  These dates are announced in the spring of each year.

T.R.I.P.

To help defray the cost of tuition, the Tuition Reduction Incentive Program is available. Parents can save hundreds of dollars on tuition by using the T.R.I.P. program. Call the school office for an information packet on this special program.

Late Charges and Services Fees

Tuition is always due on the 1st of each month. A $35.00 late charge will be added to payments received after the 8th of the month (or the last school day prior to the 8th ). There will also be a $35.00 service charge for NSF checks.

  Fundraising Program
Families will be given two options for fundraising:

Option 1:
Parents will have the option to raise money through school fundraisers.  The sales to earn money for the general fund would include activities such as candy sales, Entertainment books, our annual jog-a-thon, etc.  Fundraising should amount to a profit of $100 for each student enrolled at SCS.

A running balance of fundraising profits will be provided to the parents as a means of record keeping.  All monies not received by the Monday following the Jog-a-Thon will be assessed and added to a final tuition bill.

Option 2:
Parents may opt out of all fundraising efforts and pay a $100 fundraising contribution for each student by the end of the current school year.

*This does not include the Innisbrook program which is sponsored by PTF nor does it include flower sales to benefit Jr. High field trips.

You may contact the school for a voucher form by calling 330-762-3382 or by contacting the office manager at scsofficemgr@neo.rr.com.
